Overview
International insurance coverage is provided to University of Connecticut by Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI). This coverage is comprised of the following principal elements: CISI Health insurance for travelers (Accident and Sickness); Team Assist (AXA) for 24/7 Traveler Assistance (Medical, Travel and Technical); Emergency Medical and Security Evacuation. Benefits are payable under the Policy for Covered Expenses incurred by an Insured Person for the items stated in the Schedule of Benefits as defined within the Policy documents.

Student International Travel
All students and accompanying faculty and staff are enrolled as University of Connecticut study abroad participants, and who are temporarily pursuing educational activities outside of the United States and their Home Country are eligible for coverage.
Business Travel
All faculty and staff who are enrolled as University of Connecticut Business Travel participants, and who are temporarily pursuing educational activities outside of the United States and their Home Country are eligible for coverage.
Personal Travel
When combining business and personal travel, travelers are only covered with CISI Insurance for the business portion of the trip.
